This species is very similar to, but larger, than the wellknown Least Flycatcher or Chebec.
They are found in swampy pastures or around the edges of ponds or lakes, where they nest in low bushes.
Range. - U. S. east of the Mississippi, breeding from New York to New Brunswick.
